Barrow Rat (Learn To Paint Kit #1)
This is the rat portion of Reaper's "Learn To Paint Kit #1" (http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/Learn%20To%20Paint%20Kits/sku-down/08901) I enjoyed painting this quite a bit, and it was nice to have instructions and hints as to how I should paint it. I did learn quite a bit from this kit, and really demonstrates how little applicable experience I have in miniature painting. I think the most relevant thing I learned was to basecoat in a very bright shade, and then use the wash to bring it back down to where it needs to be, then a drybrush of the basecoat color to bring the highlights back. I knew some amount of this before, but not in the level of detail that I should have. This should be required for new mini painters.
