Imrie Risley 54mm Cuirassier. I painted this for a collector friend. I'm a little bothered by the reins being so big in comparison to the hand but I wanted to use the parts it came with without altering them.
Well, thanks. :) I appreciate the vote and kind words. I am an average miniature painter though. Compare this to some of the epic historical works here and on other sites and this does look just above average. I don't take the ratings here too seriously though. On my website and facebook fan page (Still Life Miniatures) I have WIP pictures and larger finished photos.
6.7? You know what, it's scores like that that convince me that the average person voting on CMoN is a moron without the slightest clue about the craft of miniature painting. This is a beautifully subdued piece, I just wish the pics were bigger so I might pick up some tips from it. Honestly, if you lot were voting on painters, you'd give Frazetta 10 and Degas a 6. Muppets.
