Heldrake Flame Base

Hey there CMoN community. This is my very first post/pic here and it is of a Heldrake base I recently sculpted using greenstuff. Although I have always loved sculpting and converting, I am still improving my skill at painting and photography, so I apologize for the quality of the photo. I hope you like it. You can also check out my other conversion and ebay auctions on Facebook by searching Standard of War. Thanks for looking!

Oh_La_La
The Heldrake needs some nice highlights, hes too monochromatic in my eyes. u could also make the edge of the base look sexier!

Very impressive! My 7 is because the paint job is decent and the dedication to the green-stuff modelling is very impressive however although the heldrake itself isn't the spotlight of this miniature, when taking pictures like this make sure everything is up to scratch. If the heldrake painting quality was even slightly better would improve the looks of the flamed dramatically. The metallic look with the rusty brown is great but the entire miniature in that colour scheme is boring and sucks energy from the miniature; making it seem a little lifeless and bleak. By all means, the effect you've painted on the heldrake is very good however some trim, contrasting colours or parts that aren't rusty would make the miniature look much more detailed and improve the look of the flame. Keep up the work and with more practice you will get better :) I hope you do!
