This was sculpted for a charity box set for the Japanese Tsunami. It has some wonderful detail that really helps you pick out the lines on his face with the paintwork. Towards the end of the painting I was wondering if I should do a shaved hair effect on the scalp or some sort of liver spots. I hadn't actually done liver spots before but several glazes and much prodding later it worked out quite well. I'd also like to thank those that voted for this during crystal brush where it placed 3rd in the large scale category.

Having seen this up close, I think it may be my favourite that you have produced, mate. Fantastic :)

Beautiful textures! :) I think some parts of the face and top of head lack the final, specular, highlights that's all. Perhaps that can even be done by having a more gloss finish to the skin. Sven
