I saw a program on the Oklahoma Dust Bowl about 5 years ago and looked details up online about then. The figure was a 1930's civilian piece and I covnerted the head to match the image used for the name plate. To give a sense of location I went for the painted background panel, but I also wanted to use several of the iconic images of the period so I used three seperate layers for the background representing near, middle and far distance. And I'd like to thank all those that voted during Crystal Brush and made this the winner of the historic single figure category.
