Wow man really helpful. Yeah I mean this is painted for army style, and I think better pictures are definitely needed.
Red Cross - yes and better pictures!
Fuller shades and highlights on all armor = ok
Skull too bright - yup
Yea I will do all those things on ALL the templars.. and aim for 8 across all models!

How I would improve the model: First. I would play with my camera to get the whole model in focus. I would also face him toward the camera. Then I would clean up the red cross on his shoulder. There is black paint on the bottom of the cross. That's proabably all I would do. I bet a better picture will really help your score.
But I might also high-light all the black armor with shades of dark grey like you have done with his helmet. I would tone down the skull at the top of the model to be as dark or darker than the white on his armor and I would try to brighten up his eyes. The Metal metallic looks real good and the white battle damaged armor looks cool too. :)
