Imperial Guard Army - Cadia's Red Eagles
A different way to show all the guardsmen troopers in my army. Two Heavy weapons snuck in as well as a buffer ;-) From time to time, I'm asked what colours was used. Here's the recipe.: For the reds.: Shadow: Vallejo Model Color - Hull Red Base: Vallejo Model Color - Burnt Cad. Red Highlight: GW - Blood Red Armor.: Shadow: Vallejo Air Color - Khaki Brown Base: Vallejo Air Color - Sand Yellow Highlight: Base color + GW - Bleached bone. Helmet is painted with multiple layers GW Bleached bone. I then carefully wash around all edges with brown ink Fix any wash spills with bleached bone, and then slowly add white in the bleached bone. The line across the helmet is Burnt cad. Red. Lenses.: painted like gems - colors from dark to light Black, Hull red, Burnt cad. Red, Burnt Cad red + vallejo model color light yellow, light yellow. White dot in black area.
