Rot Pod / Nurgle Drop Pod
Hey everyone! This was my entry for GD US 2013 in the 40K Vehicles category. I was honored to be one of the 5 finalists, though the competition was amazing and the judges rightly awarded demons to three other top-notch entries. Obviously, I was inspired by Nurgle's Rot with this model. This is a former IF drop pod that caught the plague. I thought it would be interesting if the plague was so powerful and all-consuming that even inorganic objects could be brought to life just so they could suffer the pain and despair associated with Nurgle. This is why it appears the drop pod is bleeding. My wife was really into the "Alien" movie series this summer, and that's what inspired me to put an egg inside the drop pod. I can't imagine it would be any use to Nurgle as it was, so it was gutted and turned into some sort of harvesting vehicle, where disgusting creatures are born. I had so much fun making this model, and I learned a lot along the way. I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for looking Andrew
