Le muse inquietanti (G. de Chirico 1918)
I had this project waiting for long time and finally I managed to complete it. I've always been fascinated by Giorgio de Chirico paintings, they emanate an aura of mistery and unease; time and space trasgress their nature so that the observer can watch reality through a pair of metaphysical goggles. Essential lines and geometric shapes helped me in the creation process, as these were my first attempts in sculpting. On the other hand, supernatural perspective and lighting were hard to reproduce and even harder to photograph. I'm glad I was struck by this idea of 3D reproduction of art masterworks, it's a great way to elevate our hobby to pure art, watching miniatures under a different eye. So what's next? Maybe a Dalì...
