Thanks for the hint Corvus, on this guy i started with gw bleached bone and worked up to white. It didn't turn out great, you can only really see the darker white shading at this guy's arm pit and on the back of his robe (not pictured here). Next time I paint a white cloak I'll start with a much darker base color.
This is a very good table top quality indeed. But there's one thing that I don't like about this mini: the white cloak. Try starting with a light-blue (space wolves grey + white) basecoat and start working up to pure white from there. I've used that technique on the white armour plates of my Templier Du Griffon miniature (picture 24740), and I think it works great for white. Message me if you want more info on painting white...
