Hey

Great model. I like the contrast between the yellow and black hazard stripes on the right arm, the purple mace in the left hand, and the rusting blue and green broken archway. The main focal point of the scene is the flag, which is highlighted well and has a great design. The only problem is that the face of the character gets noticed after you notice the flag. The face of a mini should be the most significant aspect, since it conveys the personality of the character and the human eye searches for faces out of habit. If you found a way for the head of the mini to gain prominence so that it is not competing with all the other visual details around it (particularly the skulls - which themselves are inanimate faces and distract the eye from the living face of the character) then the character would have more personality. Perhaps a bigger head, or a naked human face instead of a helmet so that we have eyes to look at. The other thing that might improve the scene is if there were some foliage in the base - some grass tufts or bushes or leaves would add some realism to the character's environment. Alternatively, maybe the earth would look more realistic if you gave it a "wet" muddy look with water effects or something. These are all minor criticisms from a non-expert painter, but I hope they are helpful. Great mini, hope you keep improving your already excellent painting skills.
