i like the use of the layering technique on this mini. i dont think that the harsh transitions detract from it at all. pluss the base is ass kickin. i have said it before and ill say it again, a good base can make or break a mini. it is especially important on a mini with such a large area to work with. very characterful. the little things, like the stone on the left hanging from the hair and the wood grain are great.
