Wizard's Tower

An ancient withered tower, crumbling from age stands on an outcrop of rock. Abandoned? Hardly, for behind its crumbling facade, lives a wizard of immense power. A scratchbuilt terrain piece made of polystyrene, foamcore, plaster, and DAS modelling clay.

Kinsei: Good eye! That is exactly what I used as the inspiration for this model. I spent a lot of time looking at screenshots of the movie to tray and capture the feel of Merlin's tower. I've always loved the evocative style of that tower and wanted to recreate it in model form. I'm glad to know I was successful, thanks!

I love how this model reminds me of Merlin's tower in The Sword in the Stone movie. It looks awesome.

I was going to say something about how perhaps a little more variation in the stone colouring (of the tower) then I read the word "scratchbuilt" and decided to shut my mouth. OK, obviously I didn't actually do that, but dang impressive.
