These are my first attempt at Kroot (and large areas of flesh). These turned out darker than I expected but overall I'm happy with the layering and the blackline definition. Details still need work and I'll based too before I repost. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Some Ideas for you regarding these guys add a little high-lighting to their "lips" You might find that this accentuates the Beaky feel of them. Also add some highlights to the Quills (all of them Head, arms and legs) from the picture it looks like you did the in snakebite leather maybe one highlight of Bubonic Brown and one of Bleached bone on top of that.
