Eldar chickie

This one's a very slight conversion of the High Elf queen model from the Maidenguard box (or UK mail order to be exact :) ). I added a blade to the top of her purty staff to turn it into a Singing Spear, and made her a wraithbone chestplate. The big wraithbone bits on the base took 3 different colours before I finally settled on the creamy marble (poo brown - base for gold colour - pink - looked awful - greyed pink - looked less awful). They were made from 6-8 layers of thin card laminated together with pva, and coated with more pva a couple of times before painting. Gems are greenstuff 'beads', sliced in half once dry. Her hair was originally blonde but it looked really boring, so I changed it to a reddish colour which beefed up the colour scheme considerably. I'm quite fond of the gold on this one, the colour is quite interesting - just my regular gold mix but with a fair whack of Stormy Blue (I love that colour) added to the base. Makes it look more antique-y.

I really like this. You've created what looks to me to be very similar to Iyanna (I think?), the Iyanden special character Spiritseer. (I'm not sure I have the terms right, even though I was looking at the codex two days ago...) The robe is fantastic, and I like your choice of colors. I figure that Iyanna, one of the most powerful Spiritseer, deserves any color wraithbone she pleases! I love everything about this miniature, but some of the transitions are a little too harsh to merit a 10. I'm a great fan of this, though!

She's a cracking little number and would look equally good in a high elf army. You really love that red hair colour lately on your minis, don't you. The spear-staff is tops. Not sure on the final colour choice for the wraithbone on the base tho.

Nicely done Rachel. You've inspired me to do some more with my Eldar army.
