This is a GW limited edition mini. He's painted a basic NMM, as i'm still learning on that front, but i think he came out okay, tho the gold is perhaps a little 'green'. Went for something different with the banner. Over all i'm quite chuffed with my effort and enjoyed painting it. Would love to have you comment, whether good or bad.

Wonderful miniature. The whites are shaded/highlighted very believably. So many folks have a hard time working this color...you've made it look easy. The freehand banner is very detailed, and although there may be some proportional problems, I excuse these by telling myself "it's a painting of a painting"....so it fits. The feathers on the helmet stand out to me because you've managed to take a very bright pallette, and show a tremendous amount of detail. You did this without bastardizing the miniature....it's exciting to see this. As for the "missed gold attempt". Well...if you didn't point this out, I would have thought along the brass/bronze line, expecially with the greenish tint. This attempt can be equated to golf. "It doesn't matter if you don't hit the ball straight, it just matters if it lands in the fairway". I've always appreciated your style. Thanks for sharing with us "aspiring artists".

Lovely. The figure on the banner is very impressive, although her arms look a bit short? I rather like the gold, I think it has a nice 'old gold' look to it rather than all the new-minted yellow that's around. And it looks lovely with the blue, a more yellow-orange gold might've looked a bit brash.
