Cromwell's Lion

- my first proper attempt at anything miniature, this is the critter that got me started: we needed a lion for a scale-sized monument on a model for the new visitor-entrance to the Houses of Parliament; the scale required was coincidentally suitable for 25/28mm figures, and we managed to find an existing Cromwell mini from a historicals range which could be matched to the actual monument without too much in the way of alteration. The only lions we could find, supposedly of the same scale, were either way off on the pose, or actually badly *out* of scale, so the only alternative was to try my hand at a scratch-build, this little green fella being the result - think it turned out ok. Anyway after the model was done with, the original went to Fenris Games, along with a second sculpt of a mirrored version of the same figure.

Very nicely done! Although i have to say the gentle slope of the street on that smallish government building really looks quite nice. Was that done by an architecture firm?
