My Blademaiden
Would you believe this old model is a favorite of mine? ;) Previously I had done this mini in metallics. It was the first model I had posted on CoolMiniOrNOt. When it got some comments, I used that advice to improve her looks and my technique ( Thanks CMON :). When I reposted that previous model on CMON with the new paint touchups and photo, the score went up over a full point! So I felt the urge to reincarnate her in NMM, though still a bit different. I kept her simple looking, because at the time I needed something fun to paint. :) The base is supposed to have an Autumn feel. The stairs are made from Milliput, covered with sand. It was painted and flocked. The "leaves" are crushed majoram raided from the spice cabinet. The shrubs and flowers are dried flowers from a craft store. This model appeared in issue 2 of Harbinger magazine, though she was submitted for issue 3. Oh well... If you like you can compare her to the previous model and see if I have improved since then.image 13790 Peace!
