Barbarian Dude by Emanuele G

Such a wonderful model to have painted, shame its no longer available. I wanted to try and capture a area of forest that has been over run with spiders. I used the spider web technique from Massive Voodoo http://massivevoodoo.blogspot.com.au/2011/12/tutorial-realistic-spiderwebs.html first time trying and was great fun to look up and see webs floating in the air. Very nice Mark! I really love this model. The way the char' is relaxed and nonchalantly leaning on his massive axe, makes it look like just another day in the office for him dismembering giant spiders and nasty forest cridders. You brought this model to life and nailed the skin tones. The color of the dried blood is spot on and the axe head is amazing. Great job on the base and spider webs. The only thing I would of added is some very faint blood droplets or very light splatter to the axe head. Just a few here and there. Besides that, great job!
