What's a paladin in Black Templar terms? You apparently have a LOT of very good ideas - it would be really cool to see a picture of your entire BT force.
On this mini the chaos parts gave me some ideas - on my templars I have added trophy racks to the back packs to enhance the zealous feel of the army... But your chainmail also brings out the rahter primitive knightly feeling of the army. Also the thing you've done on the face is perfectly evil.
Keep up the good ideas and listen to Ebonbuddha's painting tips and everything should work out fine!
I'm going to give you a five for the idea. It's really neat. The pics are kind of blurry, but I can see the armour looks flat. Maybe highlight the metal with silver or chainmail. I do love this idea though.
