Tau XV88 Broadside Battlesuit. Bronze UK GD 2013
This Broadside Battlesuit was my entry in this years Golden Demon UK and I was lucky enough to snatch the bronze demon for 40k Monster with it! It was my very first demon and also ten years since my first games day in 2003 as a kid. So the whole thing was very special for me. When it came to painting I wanted a pleasant color scheme that was nice to look at. In the end I went for light green armor with dark green sept markings. The sept markings were a blast to paint and I enjoyed it very much. I also added quite a lot of scratches and battle damage to the suit, to mix in a bit of realism to the otherwise quite cartoony colors. The suit is straight out of the box with no conversions made to it, therefore I added the flying drones to add volume and to make it a bit more interesting. There are two normal missile drones and a third mini drone built using spare bits from the kit. The little drone was painted in the same colors as the rest but with an inverted color scheme, meaning dark green armor with light green sept markings as opposed to the others.
