Good eyes -- better than mine -- and the color selection is looks like military issue.
The pants look glossy while the chest armor is very flat. A sealant (dull cote, etc.) would fix this.
I'd suggest painting the ground treatment rather than just gluing down railroad talus. Mix water, white glue, and brown paint and soak it in. Dry brush it back up so the "average" color of the base matches his chest plates.
BloodFather suggests increasing contrast. This is easy for 40K models, but harder for more real-world camo schemes. I'd try a dark line on joints where both color and material change, like around the watch, where the arms and sleeves meet, and especially that knife on his boot. Also, the pants high-light is a cooler/bluer shade than the base color. Maybe mix yellow with the base color instead?
