Kaladrax Reborn: Base Views
This is the base for the Kaladrax reborn model. Parts of the base are really nicely sculpted and designed, parts of it were awful and I had to cover them up by sculpting more ruins and built up dirt over them. Really felt like it was a half baked idea. I'm most proud of the marble effect and the golden face. They were both the first time I'd tried to paint things that way and I really like the way it turned out. I just wish that the head was more visible on the base - it is directed down rather than being a prominent feature! If you have this model I definitely recommend you build up the base with some pastes/glue and sand, and different sized rocks to cover the bare parts. It's very lumpy and nearly impossible to paint well otherwise. Comments and criticism wanted, thanks for you looking :)
