Tau Auxiliary Deep Reconnaissance Team - Necromunda Spyrer Team
This was my entry into 40K Unit for the Sydney 2003 Games Day. Thought I'd have some fun and enter the good old Spyrers since they are mentioned in the back of the Tau codex. Was also my sneeky way of entering a Necromunda gang into the competition. To suitably Tau up their look I went with a unified colour scheme across the whole team with the usual Tau styling of two colours with tone variations. I decided to make all the gem and camera like parts of the minis look like blinking lights so I used the same red and green thrughout to give the look of LEDs, these where all given a gloss coat after the minis where dullcoated to give them some shine rather than paint them like gems with a reflection and highlight. I also put various Tau style rank markings and the Tau symbol on various parts of the armour.
