I use a nikon coolpix, nothing special. Not new either. It has a 7x zoom but thats not really needed for miniature photography. But this cameras got several options. Two in paricular that i use is macro mode and a low key setting for my photos thats all i need. Its not a great camera but im pretty pleased with it. You can see the result on my minis. So if anyone could recommend a reasonably priced Camera for photographing miniatures I would be most appreciative, mines rather dated (2001) and really doesn't take great pics, the Zoom is outstanding the colours are awful, this is the best out of 15 shots using various lighting, light settings, colour settings, contrast, flash, Exposure times, you get the deal...
