Sorceress (Maybe I Should Have Bought Some Armour)
I chose this figure for my entry to the second Cool Mini or Not Expo, in 2014, where it received the honour of being selected Best in Show. The sorceress figure is produced by Minx. The main part of the tower is a scenic bit from Reaper, with a second Reaper skeleton added to the back and some sculpted bricks and debris. Unlike the previous year, I did not break any of the resin parts. Instead, I lost the tiny outstretched hand that is a separate piece. I managed to scavenge a replacement from a metal figure. I was trying for a bit of an ambivalent feel, leaving it to the viewer to decide whether she’s a damsel in distress, or a necromancer summoning skeletons against her foes.
