Dark Elves lizard

Hello everyone, I just wanted to start painting models and so a friend of mine gave me one of his old models. So i painted it just to see if i am able to paint these models quiet well. I just want to hear what you guys think about my first painted model and what i can do better and what is already good. Greetings BK18

Your colour choice is good, and you're clearly using the right sort of consistency for the paint. The highlighting on the scales and flesh is a little crude, but effective for a tabletop level of painting. My main suggestions would be (1) to look into using some Milliput, greenstuff or ProCreate as a filler to cover up things like the gap between the tail and the body and between the spine plates and the left flank, and (2) to give it a base. All miniatures look better with context. It's like the frame of a painting. It's a lot better than my first ever mini, though, so good start. Tbh, choosing the right colours and getting the right paint consistency is probably 75% of the work. After that, it's just practice and attention to detail.
