Home Sweet Home

I built this diorama for my parents for Christmas 2014. The miniatures are from Table Top Miniatures. I tried to achieve a peaceful/serene forest scene; I'll let CMON be the judge of that. Painted with reaper master series, vallejo model color and scale 75 wood and leather set. Most of the rock detail was cast with white resin or tree bark. The steps in the ground leading to the well and the path were sculpted with Milliput yellow. Water effects were from Woodland Scenics - the effect was a lot better when I first finished it, but the product melted and re-solidified, damaging the smooth finish of the lake. The diorama took approximately 170 hours from conception to completion, but it was totally worth it after seeing my mom's reaction. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. WOW. This has so much going for it. For some reason I am enamored of the roofing.
