Yeeeeeeha It's a big one!

This Diorama was my entry for the Massive Voodoo Bananalicious 2 Contest. It was a welcome opportunity after a long time to get at least a project finished. Unfortunately I'm a really lazy guy so I really need a deadline to kick myself in the ass. So the contest was a great chance for me to pull trough this project. During the painting process I rediscoverd my passion and pleasure for this great hobby. It was great fun to participate in the competition and see the project grow. I really hope you can recognize a little bit of my joy of painting in the pictures.

Though I would have hoped for some splash effect in the water...

This is hands down the coolest diorama I've ever seen! Awesome work!

Thank you for the nice words! The distressed wood planks of the bridge and the name plate can easily be rebuilded. It's really not a big deal. For the planks I took stirring staffs from a well known fastfood restaurant. Then I took my tinker knife to scratch/break the material and get a more interesting/varying surface. Finaly I did a little bit weathering with some pigments and different thin layers of brown, green and grey colors. That's all you need!
