Thanks mates! Terra, I think there is some magic-some-such in the mask that lets him see. According to the fluff, this is a normal guy given superpowers and turned into a beast by an elemental/efreet bound into his mask. It might be that the efreet also sees for him, I actually have no idea. Either that, or the brass knobs on his mask are see-through. ;)
