mulag - King

I painted this figure from Figone for the Eavier Metal 1 year FB anniversary. My first green miniature, also the first time I have tried to use complementary colours (funnily enough, as per JBT's book!) a red brown and green skin tone. The pictures aren't great, but I'm pretty pleased with him. Thank you

Thank you for the comment BaS. The photo's aren't the greatest and at this scale it really does show up errors. I am 100 in agreement with you, I need to push contrasts, it's something I really am struggling with. I am re-reading Jeremie's book again and I need to practice making the muscles more rounded and less square. Thanks again :)

First off Jérémie book changed my life second if the model needs anything at all and imho not much but anything it would be a tad bit deeper shades and the highlights just refer to that part of his book that talks bout glazing on white on the most perpendicular parts to the light rays straight lines nose, top of shoulders upper thigh on bent knee our left side.and then that small dot of diluted paint as a heat point.remeber if let's say I'm an art teacher and I hand you a 2 dimensional black circle on a white sheet of paper. Then I instruct you to put a small white blob (dot) on the upper right of the black circle.it immediate takes on 3 dimensional properties, this is the same as the above stated. Great work homer.
