Here is another fantastic mini from the Guild Ball range. He was a model of firsts for me. First attempt at highlighting with glazes, first time painting flame, first freehand of any sort (tartan) and first time photographing a mini under 'studio' lights. I was intending to use him for my first OSL as well but decided that might be a step too far. I am trying to improve my painting at the moment so would really appreciate any comments or criticisms that you may have.

Thanks (yet again) guys. To be honest, the intention was to paint the entire cape in tartan but I chickened out. :-P

Nice job on the flames, they look good for me. If I would want to improve this, I would put deeper shadows on the cape, and reshadow the stitching thread that goes on the cape parts. Flesh looks ace for me. On the photo side, I think the light was a bit too close to the mini (maybe) because the grey fur looks a tiny bit overexposed.
