This is the first mini that I have put on this site. This is the bones version of Boerogg Blackrime, frost giant. Any comments or suggestions are welcome. I am always trying to inprove my painting skills.
Good combination of warm and cool colours to give the paint job impact. I'd definitely consider some more highlighting on the blue areas up to a much lighter blue, or even white in some places. Hope to see more of your work.
Your colors are good and clean. I think the only thing you need to work on is shadow to highlight depth--your shading is mostly there, but your highlighting needs to be gradually, layer by tedious, and slightly lighter, layer brought up to a much lighter color. Even just some bolder dry-brushing would make this guy stand out a lot more. Partly because ice isn't ever really that dark... Unless it's partly the photo's fault.
I love all the detail work on his skulls and other accessories. His fur is also really cool with brown highlights like you've done!
