to be totally honest, I didn't imagine the base as it seems, but i missed some time, because this one was made for a local competition and regarding the size and the number of details on it, time was a mater.
Concerning the books, the colours are not the same in reality and there is more contrast, but i agree a rich brown should be better, the fact is the covers are made of skin, so I cannot imagine a brown skin and wanted to match to reality by making a dead tannd human flesh.

This is boss! I don't like the star on the base though and it looks like you need a bigger background. Maybe the cover of the books should have been red or rich brown, it has poor contrast against the pages/spirits. Great model overall!
