Red Scorpions Terminator
Here's the Red Scorpions Terminator I entered in this year's NOVA Open Capital Palette. This was the first painting competition that I've entered since I was a wee lad submitting a gloopy Fire Dragon for the Youngbloods category in Golden Demon circa 1994. Originally part of a unit, I ditched the idea of doing the rest of the unit so I could challenge myself to "level up" on some skills with a single model. Particularly I wanted to improve my brush technique so I gave myself the constraint of not using an airbrush for anything past priming / base-coating on this model. I was floored to be recognized with the Silver award in the Sci-Fi Single category. Just to make the finalist cut with such great models in the case was a real honor, let alone place! Anyway hope you like it!
