Adokul The Monk

This is my second 54 mm, painted in 2015 summer. Surprisingly there were only two examples of this mini on the net, though it was a kind of gift to the Figure International Magazine (RIP, there will be only one more issue). I went for a strongly desaturated and soft palette, all the colors were moxed 1:1 with grey. What I did not like though that the elevated areas (beard, hair, ornaments on the armor) were very harsh, was not much fun to paint them. No metallics were harmed during the painting of the minis. Any comments are welcome.

Thank you very much for your comment. It was an experiment and IRL the colors are slightly more saturated. After the dwarves I wished to try something not so colorful.

Original model and vey neated painting. I'm ok with your choice of desaturated colors but the overall result is little bit flat (excepting the face which is very good). In my opinion, you should paint stronger shades to add contrast.
