Confrontation: Kelen the Huntsman (Rackham)

When I saw this mini for the first time my first thought was 'scottish tartan - this cloak has to be painted like a scottish tartan'. He is the centerpiece of my celtic Confrontation army. The tartan pattern turned out pretty good but the part I am most proud of is the brown kilt. It's my best blending (layering) job so far. The filigree on his armor was a real PITA to paint! The brown kilt is terrific. The tartan however looks flat - not much shading.

I like the kilt quite a bit, as well. It has a very organic, realistic feel

Sorry, there is no conversion on this mini except that I don't use the wings that came with him. The blade looks not really good in this pic because of the heavy gloss coat I applied there
