Ultramarine's Flame

Hej guys and gals, Let me introduce my new work called Ultramarine's Flame. Actually this is my fourth miniature ever painted and here I tried a lot of things I haven't tried/used before. When I posted my previous work and asked you to make a review with comments ('Painting and conversions forum') you suggested a lot of cool things to make the miniature more interesting. I practiced in battle damaging (but I think I overdid here), made a flame using the clump foliage and tried the OSL technique. All the blending and most of the flame are painted using my newly bought airbrush. So here I cheated a little bit. I had a lot of fun and got a lot of experience during the painting. Please leave your comments and suggestions. And... Enjoy! :)

Hi MANollette! Yes, clump foliage is glued to paper clip first using super glue. Then when it's dried I mixed PVA glue with water 2:1 ratio and filled the fire 3-4 times (let it dry after each time you fill it with the glue).

Loving the OSL! Did you do anything special with the clump foliage? I've used it a couple of times to try to model things like chimney smoke, and it just kind of tends to fall apart on me (over time if not immediately).
