Solar Auxilia - Veletaris w/ Rotor Cannons
Horus Heresy | 30k | Warhammer | Solar Auxilia | Veletaris | Rotor Cannons | 1905th 'Rust Scorpions' Rotor Cannons are an option for Veletaris in 'Horus Heresy: Conquest' but there are no models to represent them as of yet. I ended up building these from a Veletaris Storm Section and cutting/hollowing the arms and hands away from the Volkite Chargers before sculpting them to fit the Legion Rotor Cannons. Each model required fairly extensive work at the joining points to re-position their arms to allow them to look natural with the Rotor Cannons. I also decided the first squad of these guys would pay homage to the movie Aliens and have added Apone, Hicks, and Vasquez; you can find close ups of them below. Apone obviously has his mustache and cigar, Hicks has an Elysian Veteran Shotgun strapped to his backpack, and Vasquez has her inner armor padding crimson red to match up with her movie bandanna. Hope you guys like them!
