Thanks Maenas, I appreciate the feedback. I watched a lot of tutorial videos and stuff, trying to work up the nerve to actually start painting. I don't have the steadiest hand, but I put a lot of work into it. I have been wanting to do minis since I was a kid and I'm glad to have finally gotten started. I'm going to try to get better pics in the future, these macro shots are a little more difficult than I had anticipated :)

I really go wowzers on people's first attempts on painting miniatures nowadays.... Mine where horrible! xD You seem to have a correct paint mixture (paint/water ratio) which a lot of people struggle to obtain on first attempts, you have placed nice highlights and even some shadows. With more practice you'll get this a lot better, but for a first they are quite correct. Brush control seems pretty good too, since you painted that red stripe, fingers and the string of the neck pendant without painting all over the place ;) Pic is a tad bit blurry, I think your camera focused at a place near your miniature but not directly at it. I would normally rate this work for a 5-6 or so but I will give you a 7 because it's your first work and it is quite good! Keep practicing you'll improve for sure ^^
