Beholder

Made me a beholder from scratch cause i didn't like what you get to buy. I wanted it to implement the original description (spherical shape, banded eyestalks, scale armor not overdone) but at the same time having some actual realistic monofocal anatomy which especially does not(!) feature a pointy nose or angry single brow. The base is 40mm (about 1.6") in diameter.

I agree with you, that there are too few decent beholder miniatures out there; generally I think they are too big. Going from the description in AD&D, they are 4-6 feet in diameter. How the f. does that translate into 2 inches at a general miniatures scale? I do think Reaper's Eye Beast is okay, although definitely not perfect, but your's is much better! And you did a very nice paint job of it, too!
