Valyrie - 2nd Place Chick Challenge IV

Not technically a Spyglass figure, but a SJB sculpt so it counts ;) I really loved this sculpt and from the moment I saw the green I had the color scheme planned down to the last detail in my head. Normally those plans change as I go along painting, but things just fell into place with this figure and everywthing went well without and adjustments. Only regret is not being able to capture a better image... camera doesn't like the subtle tones on the skin too much. I tried white primer and almost washing in most of the color and it worked great. Glyn's been trying this as well and we're both liking it a lot :) Oh, and having to rush the base sucked too. I wanted to sculpt a nice wood panel effect to look like she's on a ship... the figure has a very naval feel to it. But I had 2-3 days to paint her up since I ordered mine late, and that meant raiding Glyn's bitz box for a quick base :D A quick thanks to Jason Moses for hosting the contest, it's been great watching the last couple years and even better to participate. Cheers for the hard work getting it all organized, and cheers again for putting up the funds to get such a nice custom sculpt done for the contest :)
