Gutrot Spume

I painted Gutrot as an entry for Golden Demon. I managed to win Gold in the Warhammer Single Miniature Category and the 2016 Slayer Sword. I set myself very clear goals for this project which helped me to keep my focus during the ten months it took to complete. These were : To develop a distinct ‘nautical Nurgle’ style for the project. The aim here is to come up with something original that still fits with the established look and feel of Nurgle; To become familiar with ScaleColour paints from Scale 75 and their uses; To ‘go back to my roots’ and explore a strong palette of contrasting saturated colours in an up-to-date context. To pull out all the stops and try to paint my ‘best’ mini yet!

Pretty impressive! How did you do the splash effet on the tail/tentacle?

One of the top minis of the year, without a doubt. Kudos. Thanks so much for sharing your progress on your blog.
