This was a repaint of a 60 year old plaster collectible bust that my mother gave to me a few years ago but I never got around to finishing him. Was nice to paint something slightly larger in scale for a change.

You have made the most of the larger scale with the skin and especially the life you have painted in the eyes. They look almost real.

Lovely work. Love the eyes and freckles. I think the black could use a touch of a gradient just to establish shapes and volumes.
