You have a decent cleanly painted miniature to use as a base for improvement. The first thing that jumps out at me is the lack of deeper shading and highlights. With the face you really want to push the highlights and shading as its the focal point of your miniature. A few well placed highlights on the creases of the clothing and buttons.
The next suggestion is just personal taste but I would ensure the base does not blend in with the figure and stop it from standing out. The foliage tends to hide and obscure the mini although I do get what you were aiming for.
