This was my entry into The Female Miniature Painting Challenge IV http://thewarp.net/war/believers/chick_challengeIV_page.htm She was a lot of fun to paint and I had to paint her up in one night because of vacation plans. I like the over all look but the pictures of the back are not as shiny as they appear in the photos. This mini placed 2nd in the Fantasy category, the winner was an incredible Sabertooth tiger with a female rider painted by Sascha Buczek (Goatman).

The leaves complement the figure's dynamic pose excelently, but that face.. it's creepy, it's beautiful.. I can't take my eyes off it! Can't say I'm too fond of the brown/blue combo though :/

Nice painting! I especially like the base - the way you placed the leaves underlines the motion caught in the dynamic sculpt very well! :)
