Shadowblade

Dark Elf shadowblade, I painted it as a rogue for D&D and Pathfinder games I play with friends. It's my first serious try at freehand, and I'm happy with the result. C&C welcome.

Thanks man! Yeah, the roughness fits well I think, maybe a little cleanup in a couple spots... The armor, to tell you the truth, at first was an accident. I was trying the Scale75 inks I just got and they need waaay more dilution than other brands. So when I applied it over the armor steel it took that dull gold/greenish tone, and I thought that it fitted really well with the cape's colors, so I applied it to the entire armor. The leather may look thick, but it's MAAGIC leather! :D

The feather is awesome! The freehand may be little rough, but it fits the feather perfectly. Overall the roughness of paint on your mini looks rather like deliberate style than imperfection. Also the choice of colors is very good, it fits togather, and the greenish/bronze armor underline the "nature" theme emphased by the feather cloak. The inside of the cape really looks like leather. So I praise you for the paint. On the other hand, the leather looks pretty thick, wouldn't such cloak be heavy as hell, especially for this acrobatic fighting style?

The inside is more of a faded/washed-out leather, that's why I painted it a bit rough. I didn't want an smooth finish on it. Sure, the freehand represents an owl, also the dude wears a scarf/mask that I painted like a beak, but it's very hard to photograph it. Yeah, there are a couple spots that need cleanup, it's always easier to tell in the photos. Anyways, thx for the comment man! Constructive criticism is always welcome.
