There are parts of the mini I really like and think they are awesome and some others that let me think "why not some more effort"
Pros:
- The freehand of the Lion on the back. I really like the Back view
- The turquoise of the clothes is great
- I really like his face
- The filled bottles with different potions look so realistic
Cons:
- The base just looks like some grass glued on a black base.. A Miniature with such a fine painting deserves better!
- The choice of turquoise and blue for two different pieces of the clothing does not help to distinguish these two pieces.
- On the front view I have trouble to find a resting point for the eye to explore the mini from. The turquoise and the red draw attention while I try to rest on the face.
- The grey of his beard and the clothes on the shoulder are very similar and blurr into each other.
