Thanks for the constructive words, guys. I very much appreciate it! I have always preferred simple bases, so I can play with the figures, but I did regret not jazzing this one up a little more towards the end.
Truly beautiful job on a striking model. I agree with christopher_fontaine regarding the base- but you may have wanted to keep a very realistic base without too much going on to take the eye away from the model itself. The look you have achieved is "too regal" to just throw a skull or something down at his feet. I like that the base is very realistic - it looks like a "chunk of Mordor" if you will.
This is one of the best model from Kingdom Death I think. And you did it justice. Great painting, especially the NMM. Only the base is a bit too simple and prevents you from getting a 10.
