Bought the kit from Bandai around 2000, was put together, then forgotten.
This year I found it and thought I'll quickly paint it.
Compared to the hasegawa kits I've done this year it seriously lacks details.
Everything looks clean, like a new spaceship or something. It looks like you took the airbrush and finish the work asap. Not that I am able to produce this smooth finish wit the airb. but it looks simple, so maybe this is the reason behind the low rating. Also the kit is quite simple too as you say so it may be that.
